It's a tablet PC, you can write on it Date: 30 May 2009
"Highly functional, good value and does the job. Don't agree with the screen brightness review as I feel its adequate. Indeed, amongst other stuff my old laptop would not allow adjustment of the screen brightness to a low setting which I prefer when working at home at night. This will.

Only one minor issue is that I keep catching the touch pad with my hand. Can be disruptive to work."

Great potential shame for the screen Date: 27 May 2009
"This laptop was purchased for work both in the office and outdoors. In terms of weight it is on the heavy side for comfortable and prolonged use. The real downside however is the screen. It is probably one of the worst screens I have seen lately on a laptop. Not only it is too dark for outdoor use (despite being advertised as having excellent brightness for outdoor use) what is even worse is the viewing angles which could only be compared to the worst ever monitors. It is a real shame as all the other features on this tablet are great. The quality of the monitor though is so bad that this alone should prevent anybody purchasing this laptop. Sorry Toshiba, I didn't expect to be so disappointed by one of your products."

Response from Toshiba: By Toshiba, Toshiba, 06 July 2009
Thank you for your feedback. The Portégé M750 display has been designed to offer the best level of usage both indoors and outdoors. The screen uses a non-reflective coating so that indoor use is not affected by fluorescent lights or natural glare. This give a much better experience than other displays in the market. At the same time the display on the M750 supports both pen input and touch input making this one of the most versatile screens available. The display is also maximised for brightness providing a 200Cd rating to allow better clarity outdoors.
